So I ended up doing the compare/contrast of Roja Parfums Unspoken and Amouage Memoir Woman, and they do have some notes in common that come through on a side-by-side (wrist-by-wrist?) sniff test, but overall I think they are more different than they are alike. At best they are cousins that, when you watch them carefully, you can sometimes see the family resemblance, but most of the time they are distinctly themselves. Not quite sure what it was about Unspoken that kicked in my scent memory (Memoir) for the Amouage.
Unspoken notes: Aldehydes, Bergamot, Lavender, Jasmine de Grasse, Neroli, Rose, Ylang Ylang, Cedarwood, Ginger, Green Notes, Oakmoss, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Spice Notes, Vetiver, Ambergris, Gum Resins, Labdanum, Orris, Vanilla.
Memoir Woman notes: Absynth, cardamom, mandarin orange, pink pepper, wormwood, clove, incense, pepper, jasmine, rose, white flowers, musk, French labdanum, oak moss, styrax, leather.
For the scent sync, I am wearing L'Artisan Jacinthe des Bois, which was sent to me by a completely marvelous BN-er who thought it would suit me - and she was right!
I love it's luscious hyacinth and rounded hay and green notes. And it's rich without being cloying. A pity it's discontinued.
Jacinthe des Bois notes: Tulip, galbanum, sap, broom, narcissus, beeswax, hay, and maté.
