TWolf - there is a buddy @ my office and he's always asking me for fragrance advice cause he knows of my hobby, and he told me that when he went to Sak's the BN9 Sales Associate kidnapped him & made him test lots of things. His sample of New York Oud was the one that he liked the most. It surprised me, because I didn't really like it at all, but he wore it to the office one day and smelling it on him, it smelled darned good. Like you, I sort of am unattracted to their scents. The only one I love is that Harrod's exclusive Oud. Welcome back to the SOTD threads Twolf - they are not the same without you. Seriously.
Rtamara - I didn't know Eau Illuminee was lavender. I must have a sample of that somewhere, now I want to find it and sample it. Pass the maple syrup please! :)
Evangeline - remember, Absence makes the heart grow fonder. A cloud of Angel sounds wonderful. I love smelling that scent on a woman.
Last night, I got to meet with a Basenotes member - Halo from Buenos Aires (Argentina) who was in Miami for business. We had a drink and I took him to this crazy dance party afterwards but basically all we did was talk about fragrances all night until 2 am. What a sweet guy. He arrived in a cloud of Cuir d'Arabie and hugs. Basenoters are the BEST PEOPLE. I look forward to keeping in touch with him. I should have taken a photo of us, but I forgot.
So I'm a bit sleepy-eyed this morning, having some canteloupe and off to have breakfast in:
