I've never been to Pacific coast forests, so I'm not sure what it is about. But I second the suggestion to try Ormonde woman. It's green, slightly coniferous, slightly aquatic, and woody, and it does seem like a forest. No sweetness there, though.
Otherwise, the traditional chypre base is often compared to a forest, but more to the decay part than the fresh, sharp part. Still, getting hold of the discontinued Coty Chypre could be worth.
