Well, just threw the 3rd batch of broccoli soup down the toilet. The cheese melted ok but the soup was way too thin and plain tasting. I added some garlic to try to give it something...then it was way too garlic-y. Even with 2 packages of cheese, it tasted like garlic broccoli milk. Perhaps there was too much milk in this recipe for my tastes. Or perhaps I read it wrong? I am sure something went awry here..on my part! Like Idk dumping garlic powder in there? LOL. Ugh, maybe using 2% milk instead of whole milk played a part? After whisking for like an hour to make sure the cheese was ok...it just wasn't happening. The taste wasn't there..then I added too much garlic. I thought, even if I dump a block of Velveeta in this crap...that garlic taste probably won't come out. Game over. This was an expensive waste of time, these three batches of soup....I just can't make it the way I like it I guess!!! I like it thick and super cheesy...it wasn't meant to be. I won't be making this dumb soup ever again!!!! I was trying to make something for soup night at a potluck coming up...guess it will be something store bought, ugh...if we can even afford that now, lol. LOL, I will just say..hey, I made 3 batches of soup for you guys..they just aren't here, lol. This was like 65 bucks or so down the drain. Oh well, I tried.
Oh ya, sotd, Sensuous by EL:).
Oh and can I just say Martha Stewart is full of CRAP when she said lighting a candle when chopping onions prevents your eyes from stinging and watering? I must have tried that technique like 5 times...each time...stinging, tears running all over eyes. MS, you must not have any tear ducts dearie..or like in an Elizrj way...Martha must not have any tear ducts, bless her heart. LOL.
